Set up your childcare setting in ChildMindi — rooms, ratios, and your Control Centre ready for day one. By the end of this 3-minute tour, your dashboard will show every room with its age range, ratio, and capacity at a glance.
Five Steps to a Ready Control Centre
Each step is shown in the actual product. Pause anywhere and follow along in your own account.
1. Navigate to Manage › Rooms
Start from the Control Centre — your daily command screen. The top menu gets you to the Rooms section in two clicks.
You know where every setup task lives in the menu structure.
2. Create Your First Room
Click Add Room and fill in name, age range, ratio, and capacity. ChildMindi uses these values to track compliance automatically.
Your first room is live and counting toward ratio.
3. Add the Rest of Your Rooms
Repeat for every physical space in your setting — Babies, Toddlers, Pre-School. The list shows age range, ratio, and capacity side-by-side.
Every room you operate is represented in the system.
4. Review Your Control Centre
Head back to Control Centre. Your rooms are now listed, capacity badges visible, and the dashboard is starting to take shape.
You can see the whole setting in one view.
5. Trust Automatic Compliance
If any room goes over ratio later, ChildMindi flags it for you automatically. No spreadsheets, no manual counting.
